The leadership team of NERP includes two Regional Directors (RDs) and one Alternate Regional Director (ARD). Meet our team:

Alan Reiff has been a volunteer with Heritage of Pride (NYC Pride) for over 30 years. In numerous capacities such as: Secretary, Community Relations Director, Pridefest Director, and Co-Chair. Alan is a current member of the following committees: The March, Community Relations, Stonewall 50, and Development. Alan was a member of the Executive Board of Queens Pride. He held the positions of Festival Director, Co-Chair, NERP 2015 Programming Director, and Secretary. He is also a member of OUTAstoria, and a founding member of OUTBronx.
Alan has been very active with InterPride for the past 20 years. He was on the first WorldPride committee in 2000 and worked in Rome on that event. He was then elected to be the first WorldPride committee chairperson for InterPride. He was Interpride’s Executive Board Secretary, the Solidarity Committee Co-Chair and is also a member of InterPride’s Human Rights Committee.
On a professional academic level, Alan works for the NYC Department of Education as the ENL Coordinator at a middle school in the South Bronx. He is multi-lingual which he credits for his ability to be able to function in any situation. Prior to teaching full time, he worked for EL AL Israel Airlines based in NYC where he was fortunate enough to experience the world first hand.
This unique combination of his Pride experiences and history, and his professional academic credits, have made him a valuable member of the International Pride Activist movement. He is very honored to currently be one of the Regional Directors for Region 6 NERP, where he hopes to bring all of his skills to good use.
Marcy Carr (Pride Center of S.I./Staten Island PrideFest)
In January of 2015 Marcy started as a master’s level mental health intern at the Pride Center of Staten Island. It was through her subsequent employment at the center that she became connected with InterPride and NERP. In addition to managing Special Events & Facilities at the Pride Center of Staten Island, she also oversees the Pride Center’s newly designed volunteer program. When not advocating for LGBTQ rights, Marcy creates her own jewelry and can spend hours in the clearance section of AC Moore.
